The world feels heavy in 2025; from escalating conflicts and climate-driven disasters, to a government approving yet another massive gas project that will fuel the crisis for decades. But in the face of this, Rising Tide has been building something powerful. This year, together we’ve disrupted the political agenda, grown a nationwide network of climate organisers, won crucial local support in Newcastle, and prepared 122 volunteer teams to bring the 2025 People’s Blockade to life. In a dark moment for our planet, collective action is one of the few places where hope grows, and that’s exactly what we’ve helped build.
