You are invited to join Rising Tide’s new Book Club!! The four-session book club will bring people from around the country together to read, connect, learn from inspiring case studies, and explore movement strategy.

We will be reading This Is an Uprising by Mark and Paul Engler, which is a powerful book on how ordinary people can use nonviolent resistance to build social movements and win transformative change. This book is core to Rising Tide's strategy, and we will be discussing learnings we can apply to our own organising.

What: Four fortnightly sessions, reading ~3 chapters of This is an Uprising before each. We will start with an all in intro, then break into smaller groups (either online or in person) for discussion.
When: Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm AEST, starting April 15
Where: Online via Zoom, with the option for Rising Tide hubs or individuals to organise concurrent local in-person meetups (locations and details TBC).
