Support Rising Tide’s 159 climate defenders

Help cover the legal costs and fines of 159 brave people who got arrested defending our climate.

The 2025 People’s Blockade of the World’s Largest Coal Port was one of the largest and most disruptive climate protests in Australian history.

With over 8,000 people, 159 arrests, 10 coal ships rescheduled and THREE turned around, this marks the beginning of the next phase of our powerful movement.

We need this type of brave action more than ever. As we were protesting at the world’s largest coal port, floods were devastating parts of South East Asia, killing over 1,600 and leaving more than 1 million people homeless. Just days later, homes were lost in bushfires just outside Newcastle. As the climate crisis escalates, so must we.

The decision to be  arrested is not taken lightly. It is a courageous and powerful act when ordinary people take a stand against the fossil fuel corporations who are fueling this devastation.

Our governments need to learn that you cannot arrest your way out of a climate crisis. If the Albanese government won't stand up to the fossil fuel industry, the people will.

The legal costs are piling up. Can you help support the 159 people who took this brave action for our planet?
