Fundraiser #1 - Sandgate 23

On December 20th, 2009, twenty-three people were arrested and charged following Rising Tide's day-long coal railway blockade at Sandgate, Newcastle.

Tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees, fines, and courts costs were incurred.

Two fundraising events have been organised to help cover these costs:


#1 - Sunday 14th March

Lass O'Gowrie Hotel, Railway Street, Wickham
From 2pm

With a range of performers including:

  • Quiche Richards
  • Paul Spencer
  • Casio Gloria 
  • Don Music
  • Tim Crossey
  • A screening of the People's Blockade of the World's Biggest Coal Port documentary
  • and more....

 It's an afternoon gig in the beer garden, and will be kid-friendly
