Switch off the CPRS: switch on renewables27.03.2009 - 09:00 27.03.2009 - 17:00 Australia/Sydney Join the national day of action against the CPRS Switch off the CPRS: switch on renewablesWhen the government announced their dismal 5-15% emission reductions targets dozens of community groups took to the offices of dozen of federal parliamentarians in disgust. On 27 March 2009 people concerned about climate change around the country will be taking action at the office of their local federal Labor politician to tell them we need to reduce greenhouse emissions, not pay polluters. To find out about sit-ins your electorate or great information and how-to kit about organising your own action see: www.stepitupaustralia.wordpress.com In Victoria, several protests are already organised and more are in preparation. Come along to a meeting tonight 6:30pm - 8pm at the Melbourne Climate Action Centre, lvl 5 new building, Trades Hall, Cnr. Victoria & Lygon Streets, Carlton South to help organise.
