PEAK OIL & CLIMATE CHANGE

HOW THE FOSSIL FUEL CRISIS WILL RESHAPE SYDNEY

When: 12:30pm - 2:00pm, Wednesday 26 September
Where: Jubilee Room, NSW Parliament Macquarie St, Sydney
Speakers:
* Senator Christine Milne, Greens spokesperson on peak oil and climate change
* Dr Gary Glazebrook, urban planning lecturer and transport consultant at UTS Sydney
* John Stott, Partner in Strategic Transport Advisers & public transport specialist

In 2002, the price of petrol was 84 cents for a litre. Today the price is 60 percent higher. The knock on effect of peak oil, rising petrol prices and global warming will transform Sydney in the coming decade. How can we ensure that we reshape our suburbs and public transport for a sustainable future?

Jemma, how do you feel about the following "infomercial" for increasing awareness of Climate Change?

What?

Alex, is that a for-profit website? Did you link to it because you work for it? That "ad" seems to have been made by the website itself, to generate controversy and get people to vote...for 55 cents a vote...
