Theme for July 2007:
"Cycle for clean air and less asthma babies"

Toxic car exhaust emissions contribute to respiratory diseases that cause more than 
20,000 Australians to die a year.  Compare with the 1,600 or so deaths from car
crashes.  Many motorists are careful and don't crash, but who is responsible for
the 20,000 or so deaths?
Approprioate use of technology please.  Who loves emergency vehicles? We do!!

Free bikes or fixing available to participants.

Community volunteer centre for safe, sustainable, transport:
1.Newcastle Community Push-Bike Library
2.Push-bike co-op:free non-working bikes/bits
3.Free workshops:Fixing & bike setups (help fix a bike)
4.2nd hand working bikes,(save polluting production of new bikes)$5-$50
5.Cycling & traffic skills workshops-stop getting annoyed by cars
6.News, rides, Enviro/Peace events, Advocacy, Lobbying, etc
7.No Consumeristic, Green-wash car, or Climate Change Chaos

Be visible & away from car squeeze zones: No riding in gutters or in car door lanes (bike picture lanes not compulsory). Don't weave in & out of parked cars.

Volunteers & bike/part donations welcome.
