The state government’s appalling approval of the Anvil Hill coal mine was a slap in the face to communities in the Hunter Valley and throughout NSW. It shows that the State Labor Government acts in the interests of coal industry profits, not the people of NSW. And it shows clearly that they are not serious about stopping dangerous climate change – our greatest threat.

We have to draw a line in the sand at Anvil Hill if we are to stop the massive expansion of NSW’s coal industry and stop dangerous climate change. Come along to an emergency public meeting at Marrickville Town Hall on Sunday June 24th between 2-4 to find out how we can Save Anvil Hill, and begin the move away from coal. Speakers to be confirmed.
