Rising Tide: Anvil Hill mine will not go ahead

Climate action group Rising Tide Newcastle has come out in support of locals and vowed to stop an open cut coal mine proposed for Anvil Hill, near Muswellbrook.

Already 20% of the Hunter Valley floor is taken up by coal mines, and opposition to new mine proposals like Anvil Hill is steadily increasing.
