Community Meeting Spotlights Coal Exports

A small gathering of concerned citizens met at the Hunter Community Environment Centre last night to kick off a campaign to stop the expansion of coal exports from Newcastle.

The meeting was convened by local activist group Rising Tide Newcastle and heard from local experts about the challenges the region and the world face in a changing climate. The first item on their agenda will be stopping the Sandgate Flyover
