An ethical investment firm has asked to place a banner ad somewhere on our website. What do you reckon?
Any form of advertising, for any company, would compromise your integrity and muddy your message. Don't do it.

I don't like it. I have a problem with ethical investment companies, because not all their investments are that great.

It's a little bit fraught, I am ambivalent about the idea.

I think it's a good idea. The money would go to good use, and ethical investment companies do a good job. They deserve support.

Get your snout in the trough, take what you can get! Why not put a BHP Billiton ad on here too?

I know it's narky, but these options are a bit leading... there is only one credible option for support, and three against. Let's keep it real...

Actually, there are only 2 possible "against" votes - and there is a key difference between the two. One is against all advertising, one is against this particular advertisment. There is one "on the fence" vote. There is one credible "for" vote, and one to fill up space (although, they do cover the two possible "for" positions - for all advertising, or just for this advertisement).
I reckon the "for" vote sounds just as reasonable as as the "against" votes, and I reckon the answers offered by the poll are actually a pretty good representation of the possible positions on the issue.
